Maybe you have had this experience. You are on hand at a lecture and have everything going for you. But later when you are assigned to present the things you were asked to learn, you discover you didn’t retain them. If this is your situation, you will be grateful for the following preparation that will help you to be an efficient learner.
1. Listen actively, even studying body language of the presenter. Ask questions if the setting permits it.
2. Practice mental self-control and learn even when you disagree with what is being presented.
3. Be a creative problem solver, agreeing or disagreeing mentally as you go along. It will keep your mind active.
With this preparation, your ability to pass things along will be greatly improved.
