9 month old with reflux

Has anyone experienced any deleterious effects on the primary dentition from reflux.  Mother presented her nine month old with only two lower deciduous teeth, both having a mottled surface with multiple black spots.  I was unsuccessful taking a photo or getting a tactile sense of the surface of the teeth.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.
